Interesting discussion regarding Iran, Syria, and Israel. It is interesting that Syria did not immediately complain about Israel bombing something in its desert. Lebanon complained quite loudly when they discovered IDF aircraft had penetrated their defenses. Even Saddam Hussein once complained when Clinton bombed a biological weapons research center (which he claimed made baby formula).

But Syria's been quiet. Almost as if they think complaining would raise questions they can't answer. That is, if the Israelis attacked, they must have attacked something. It sounds like whatever it was, it doesn't look at all like a peaceful facility, or even an acceptable military facility. Instead, it sounds like something incriminating. And France is essentially asking to be included in the next bombing run.
